A flowering tree of life rises at the center of this tree of life mahjong mat, its branches heavy with pomegranates, peonies, tulips and berries, while peacocks, a stag and a rabbit gather at its roots among wildflowers. Butterflies and dragonflies drift through the golden ground, framed by a scrolling floral band and a deep teal leaf-and-flower border.
It reads like a woven tapestry. The warm gold ground keeps tiles easy to read, the tree and animals sit low and central, and the dense border frames the play like an old wall hanging. Guests take in the whole scene before they reach for a tile.
The Art: The Flowering Tree
