Tuxedo Mask stands at the center of this Sailor Moon round rug, a red rose raised in one white-gloved hand and his cane resting in the other. The whole scene is laid out for the circle: a cream medallion with gold crescents sits inside a crimson ring, and a black border of roses, top hats and masks closes the edge.
A circle changes how a room feels. It softens the hard corners of a square bedroom, settles beside a bed or in front of an armchair, and gives a dark, romantic palette a place to pool at your feet. Dramatic, yes. Still calm.
The Design: Roses, Cape and Crescents
Most Sailor Moon art leans on pastel sparkle, but this piece goes the other way, toward midnight and candlelight. The masked gentleman wears a black top hat, white glasses-style mask, bow tie and tailcoat, with a deep red cape lined in crimson swinging out behind him. Behind his shoulders two gold crescent moons curve like a halo, and four-point stars drift across the cream background. Fans who want the rest of the cast can browse more Sailor Moon rugs.
Around him, rose vines climb a gold scrollwork frame, with loose petals scattered across the paper-toned center. Then the palette drops into black.
