Product Description
This Hypebeast round rug sets a golden Medusa head at the center of a cream field, then rings it with Greek key bands, a leopard-print belt and a teal-and-pink edge. The artwork is laid out for the circle, so every ring closes on itself and nothing gets cropped at a corner.
A circle softens a square room in a way a rectangle never does. It sits under a desk chair, lands beside a bed or anchors the spot in front of a dresser where you check the outfit before heading out. Loud pattern, calm shape.
The Design: Baroque Meets Greek Key
Look at the middle first. A black disc holds the gold Medusa, her curls and knotted snakes drawn in fine metallic-looking line work, with a tight meander border circling the disc. Around it, the cream field fills with gold acanthus scrolls that curl outward in mirrored pairs, while coral peonies, turquoise blooms, purple tulips and small pink flowers tuck in between the green leaves.
Past the florals the pattern turns bolder. A band of leopard spots in tan and black wraps the garden, and a thick black-and-gold Greek key runs outside it. The last ring is teal with a pink hairline and small gold shells set around the rim. It is maximalist on purpose, and it makes a plain room look underdressed. At that size it also doubles as a chair mat for a desk setup. Go 120 to 140 cm for a dressing corner or entryway, where the 80 cm size alone can act as a bold accent rug by a doorway. Choose 160 to 180 cm to make the center of a seating area, and the rings read like a floor medallion. At that scale it becomes a proper round area rug.
