This Gundam round rug puts a young pilot in a white-and-blue flight suit dead center, helmet tucked under one arm, with a towering white, blue and red mobile suit rising behind him. The artwork is laid out for the circle: a gold filigree medallion frame holds colony rings, fighter craft and spare helmets in mirrored panels around the rim.
A circle softens a square room in a way a rectangle never does. Pulled under a desk, it works as a chair mat that keeps the pilot's face clear of the casters. Beside a bed or in front of an armchair, the medallion reads like a small piece of stained glass laid on the floor.
The Design: Gold Filigree Space Medallion
