A gold-lined Deathly Hallows triangle holds the center of this Harry Potter round rug, wrapped in a ring of stars, crescent moons and drifting clouds. Around it a knotted wand, a black-stone ring and a silvery, star-flecked cloak each sit in their own scalloped panel, with ravens perched between them. The artwork is laid out for the circle, so every motif follows the curve and the plum border closes around it like a frame.
Circles soften a square room in a way a rectangle never will. This one suits the floor under a desk chair, the space in front of a reading armchair or the patch beside a bed where bare feet land first. Slide a chair across it and the medallion still reads clearly, which makes it a natural Harry Potter chair mat for a study corner.
