Gamabunta holds the center of this Naruto round rug, pipe between his lips and smoke curling around a navy jacket marked with swirls. Six summons wait in cloud-framed panels around him, and the whole scene is laid out for the circle, so nothing is cropped at the edge.
A circle changes how a floor reads. It softens square corners, slides under a desk chair without fuss and gives a reading nook a clear middle. Because this artwork is radial, it looks right from every side of the room.
The Design: Summons in Scrollwork
Think of a Persian carpet medallion crossed with a ninja scroll. The field is deep navy, the border is crimson with curling gold leaves and small red flowers, and cream clouds float behind every character. The linework is fine and a little weathered, like ink and watercolor on old paper.
Each panel has its own personality. Manda, the purple serpent, coils at upper left with fangs bared. Katsuyu, the white slug with blue stripes, rests at the top. A hawk spreads its wings to the right, Pakkun the pug wears his leaf headband at lower left, and Enma the monkey grips his staff at lower right. Three crows sweep across the bottom.
