My son is obsessed with Yu-gi-oh, and so we were both excited to find this rug - which isn't too over-the-top, but more of a subtle nod to his interests. The rug itself feels great. Very happy with the product!

In Detail
Product Description
This Chinese phoenix mouse pad shows a phoenix climbing out of a jagged ink-wash mountain range, its wings flung wide against a sky splashed with gold and its long tail sweeping back toward the peaks. Order it compact or as a full Chinese phoenix desk mat, and the same mix of fiery red-and-teal plumage, smoky black crags and scattered gold flecks comes along at every size.
The piece suits anyone who collects ink-and-color painting, loves mythic birds or wants a dark or wood-toned desk to feel a little more dramatic. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a friend who decorates with East Asian art.
Why this Chinese phoenix mouse pad stands out
In Chinese tradition the phoenix, or fenghuang, is a bird of good omen, linked with virtue, harmony and peaceful times, and it often appears beside the dragon in wedding and palace art. Painters have long set it against mountains and clouds to suggest something rising above the ordinary world. Here the contrast does the talking: wet black washes carve the rugged peaks, while the bird arrives in saturated color with gold breaking up the sky behind it. Your eye lands on the sharp head, runs along the wingspan, then follows the tail down into the crags. For more painted scenes in this spirit, browse our artwork mouse pads and desk mats.
Choosing a Chinese phoenix desk mat size
- S (11.8″ × 15.7″): a mouse-only pad for laptops and tight corners.
- XL or XXL: keyboard and mouse together, with the wingspan stretched wide.
- XXXXL (23.6″ × 47.2″): the largest Chinese phoenix desk mat, letting the peaks run from edge to edge.
- Chair mats (S, M, L): the same scene under a desk chair on hard floors.
Built for long sessions
The surface is a micro-woven polyester cloth that lets optical and laser mice glide without catching. Underneath, 3 mm of natural rubber grips the desk so nothing drifts, and precision-stitched edges keep the border from fraying. Because the HD print resists fading, the red and gold on this Chinese phoenix mouse pad stay bright.
For small spills, wipe the spot with a damp cloth. A deeper clean can go through a gentle cold or lukewarm machine cycle with mild detergent; lay it flat to air dry afterward. Skip bleach and the dryer, and never iron the printed side. Each mat is made to order, produced in 1–3 business days and shipped in 2–5 business days.
Want the room to echo the desk? Our abstract and modern rugs bring bold color to the floor, and the wider decorative mouse pads range gathers patterns and landscapes in one place.
