Juuzou sits cross-legged at the heart of this Tokyo Ghoul round rug, a lollipop raised in one hand and a blood-dark scythe resting across his knees. The artwork is laid out for the circle, with a scalloped cream panel around the figure and a band of wrapped candy and thread spools closing the edge. Ivory, deep crimson and blush pink carry the palette, with charcoal black for the suspenders and boots.
A circle softens a square room. Slid under a desk, it frames the chair and that wide grin between the wheels; set beside a bed, it gives you a small ring of red to step onto each morning. It anchors the spot.
The Design: Candy Shop Carpet
Think of an antique carpet where every motif has gone slightly wrong. The red field is thick with vines and leaves, yet the cartouches hold lollipops tied with bows, curved scythes, bare skulls and crossed suspenders. Spools of red thread repeat around the rim, a nod to the stitched scars on his legs and the XXI marks on his forehead. Hearts float around the figure, and one of them is cracked and sewn shut.
