Moonlit parchment, a castle drawn in ink and a trail of footprints winding through its corridors: this Harry Potter round rug is a secret map pressed into a circle. The artwork is laid out for the round cut, with cream parchment panels spreading like petals from a central courtyard.
A circle suits a map like this. It softens the hard corners of a square room, gives a reading nook a clear center and sits under a desk chair without fighting the furniture. Nothing about it looks like an afterthought.
The Design: Inked Map Mandala
Look closely and the rug is really a mandala built from a floor plan. Towers, spiral staircases and long corridors repeat in mirror symmetry across the parchment panels, and dotted footprints loop through every room as if someone has just slipped past. Four pale moons sit on the diagonals against a midnight-blue field scattered with tiny gold stars. Small silhouettes mark the compass points: a stag at the top, a howling wolf at the bottom, a running hound on the left and a rat on the right. Between them you will spot brass keys, quills, an inkwell, sealed letters and arched stone windows, all wrapped in gold scrollwork.
