Marill sits at the center of this Pokemon round rug: a plump blue water mouse with red-lined ears, a bubble balanced on its zigzag tail and a ripple spreading under its feet. The artwork is laid out for the circle, with a gold-edged medallion around Marill and rings of bubbles, lily pads, shells and tiny fish mirrored in every direction.
A circle behaves differently from a rectangle on the floor. It softens the corners of a square room, settles under a desk without fuss and gives a bedside or reading nook a clear middle. Marill's mandala has no top and no bottom, so it looks right from whichever side you walk in.
The Design: Water Mandala Medallion

The palette runs from deep teal and navy at the rim to pale aqua in the field, with antique gold filigree curling through every ring and soft green lily pads anchoring the four compass points.
