Product Description
This One Piece round rug puts Dracule Mihawk at the center of an ornate medallion, hat brim tilted low and amber eyes half-lidded, with a pale moon rising behind a distant castle. The artwork is laid out for the circle from edge to edge: a lobed frame around the swordsman, hawks perched at the four diagonals, and a deep navy border that closes the rim.
A circle works differently from a rectangle on the floor. It softens the hard corners of a square room, slides under a desk chair without snagging, and gives a bedside or reading corner a clear center. Here the round shape also keeps Mihawk looking out at you from every side of the room.
The Design: Gothic Carpet Medallion
Most One Piece art is loud and bright. This piece goes the other way. The linework is pure manga, but it sits inside a border language borrowed from old Persian and Byzantine carpets: scrolling leaves, small red blossoms, white feathers and gold-edged cartouches. Mihawk wears his open crimson coat with the embroidered pattern, a gold cross pendant on his chest, and the wide black hat with its blood-red underside. His great black blade rides across his back, the gold crossguard flaring behind one shoulder.
Look closer and the details multiply. A yellow hawk eye watches from each side of the frame. Four small panels show a lone boat on dark water below a castle skyline, and gold crosses on black diamonds mark the top, bottom and both sides. The palette is crimson, ink black, navy, ivory and antique gold, which makes it quieter than a typical character rug. Mihawk on the Floor
The surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good under bare feet and stays flat instead of curling at the edge. Underneath, a non-slip rubber backing grips hard floors such as wood, tile and laminate, so the circle stays where you put it. Colors are applied by dye-sublimation, which sets the ink into the fibers, so the deep reds and the fine gold linework stay crisp instead of sitting on top like a coating. When it gets dirty, it is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle, then air-dry.
In a dark gaming room rug setup, the crimson and gold pick up the glow of LED strips nicely. Slide it under your desk and it doubles as a chair mat with a clean circular outline.
