Art Deco Mouse Pads
An Art Deco mouse pad is an easy way to give a plain desk the ornate, gilded feel of a vintage interior: peacocks in a golden garden, rich damask repeats, flowing leaves and painted tiles. This collection gathers 16 decorative designs inspired by the great ornamental styles of the past, from Baroque damask to Art Nouveau and chinoiserie. Each one is made to order in the size you choose, from a small mouse pad for a laptop to a full desk mat that covers your keyboard and mouse, and every design is also available as a chair mat. All of them have precision-stitched edges and a non-slip natural rubber base.
Below you will find every design grouped by style, a size guide, build details, styling ideas, care tips, shipping times and answers to common questions.
Art Deco Mouse Pad Designs in the Collection
Strictly speaking, Art Deco is the bold, geometric style of the 1920s and 1930s, named after a 1925 design exhibition in Paris and known for sunbursts, stepped shapes and gold on black. This collection takes a broader view. It brings together ornamental patterns that sit comfortably in a vintage-inspired room: Baroque damask, the curving lines of Art Nouveau, birds and gardens, painted tile and one modern piece of line art. What they share is rich detail and a sense of craft, which is exactly what makes a decorative desk mat feel special.
Peacocks, Herons and Garden Designs
Birds and gardens were favorite subjects in the decorative arts of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and the peacock in particular became a symbol of beauty and display. Peacocks, subtitled Golden Garden, sets the birds among warm golden tones, the most glamorous design in the range. Chinoiserie Peacock Garden takes the same bird in a different direction. Chinoiserie is the European fashion for East Asian motifs that peaked in the eighteenth century, with painted garden scenes, branches and birds, and it gives this pad a softer, hand-painted feel.
Heron Birds, subtitled Nature Art, rounds out the group with tall wading birds, a calm and elegant choice for a work desk.
Rich and Dark Damask Designs
Damask takes its name from the city of Damascus, a historic center for woven fabrics, and refers to a reversible patterned textile with large symmetrical floral repeats. In the Baroque era those patterns grew grand and ornate, and they still appear on wallpaper and upholstery today. Ten of the sixteen designs in this collection are damask patterns, so this style is the heart of the range.
The darker designs make the boldest statement. Black Damask, subtitled Monochrome Baroque, keeps to a strict monochrome palette, while Mandala Damask is an ornate black and white take that, as its name suggests, brings a mandala feel to the classic repeat. Tan Damask pairs its tan tone with a dark Baroque floral, and Baroque Red Damask combines red with vintage gold for the most opulent look in the group. Purple Damask and Blue Damask, both with Baroque floral repeats, add jewel tones that work well on a gaming desk or in a darker room.
Soft and Light Damask Designs
If you prefer a lighter desk, four designs use softer palettes. Pink Damask, subtitled Soft Baroque Floral, brings a gentle, romantic color. Cream Damask pairs a cream ground with vintage brown, and Vintage Damask uses a warm beige, both easy to match with wood furniture and neutral rooms. Baroque Damask, subtitled Vintage Pattern, is the classic all-rounder of the group. These designs feel at home in a home office, a study or a bedroom desk, where you want pattern without heavy contrast. If you like the woven-textile side of these damasks, our Rug Pattern mouse pads bring classic carpet motifs to the desk as well.
Art Nouveau, Tile and Line Art
Art Nouveau came just before Art Deco, roughly from the 1890s to the First World War, and favored long, flowing lines drawn from plants and nature. The Art Nouveau design, subtitled Flowing Leaf Pattern, follows that tradition with a leafy, organic repeat. Mediterranean Tile, subtitled Colorful Patterned, takes inspiration from the painted ceramic tiles found in kitchens and courtyards around the Mediterranean, a cheerful, sunny choice.
Abstract Zen Lines is the most modern design here: clean, flowing lines with a minimalist, calming look. It is a good pick if you like the idea of a decorative mat but want something more contemporary than a period pattern. And if clean shapes appeal to you more than period ornament, our Abstract mouse pads go fully in that modern direction.

|---|---|---|---|
| S | 11.8 x 15.7 in | 30 x 40 cm | Mouse only, laptop setups, travel |
| TCG Mat | 14 x 24 in | 35.5 x 61 cm | Card games and tabletop play |
| M | 11.8 x 27.6 in | 30 x 70 cm | Mouse plus a small keyboard |
| L | 11.8 x 31.5 in | 30 x 80 cm | Mouse plus a compact keyboard with extra swipe room |
| XL | 15.7 x 35.4 in | 40 x 90 cm | Full-size keyboard and mouse |
| XXL | 23.6 x 35.4 in | 60 x 90 cm | Full keyboard and mouse on a deeper desk |
| XXXL | 19.7 x 39.4 in | 50 x 100 cm | Whole-desk coverage on 100 cm desks |
| XXXXL | 23.6 x 47.2 in | 60 x 120 cm | Whole-desk coverage on wide desks |
| Chair Mat S | 31.5 x 47.2 in | 80 x 120 cm | Under a desk chair in a compact space |
| Chair Mat M | 39.4 x 59.1 in | 100 x 150 cm | Under a desk chair with room to roll back |
| Chair Mat L | 47.2 x 70.9 in | 120 x 180 cm | Large desk areas and wide chair movement |
Pattern designs behave a little differently from character art when you change size, so keep this in mind:
- S for mouse-only and travel: a compact pad for a mouse next to a laptop, easy to slip into a bag.
- M or L for a mouse and a small keyboard: both are 30 cm deep and fit a compact keyboard plus mouse. The L adds width for longer mouse movements.
- XL or XXL for a full keyboard and mouse: the XL covers a full-size keyboard with a number pad, and the deeper XXL leaves room for your wrists.
- XXXL or XXXXL for whole-desk coverage: on a large mat, a damask repeat starts to look like wallpaper or upholstery, which gives the desk a finished, furnished look.
- TCG Mat for card games: 14 x 24 inches of play space for trading card games, usable as a mouse pad in between.
- Chair mats for hard floors: the 80 x 120, 100 x 150 and 120 x 180 cm versions go under a desk chair on wood, laminate or tile, and a damask pattern there reads almost like a small area rug.
Measuring tip: measure your desk's depth and width first, then leave a few centimeters of margin on each side so the mat lies flat and does not bump into a monitor stand or lamp.
Surface and Build
Every design in the collection shares the same construction:
- Surface: micro-woven polyester cloth, smooth and optimized for all DPI and sensitivity settings; works with laser and optical mice.
- Base: 3 mm natural rubber with a non-slip textured grip that stays in place.
- Edges: precision-stitched, anti-fray borders.
- Print: high-definition, fade-resistant print.
Even though the look is vintage, the pad performs like any modern cloth gaming surface. Low-DPI players in FPS games make long arm sweeps, so an XL or XXL keeps every movement on the cloth, and the even weave glides the same way from edge to edge. High-DPI players in MMOs and strategy games move the mouse less and can use the space for a keyboard instead. The pattern is printed, so it has no effect on tracking.
At an office or home desk, the smooth surface gives precise cursor control for documents, spreadsheets and design work. The stitched edges stay tidy where your wrist rests, and the high-definition print keeps fine details such as damask scrolls and peacock feathers crisp.
Desk Styling Ideas
A Vintage Home Office
Pair Cream Damask, Vintage Damask or Heron Birds with a wooden desk, brass accents and a green banker's lamp. In XL, the pattern frames your keyboard without overwhelming the room.
A Dark, Moody Gaming Desk
Black Damask, Purple Damask or Baroque Red Damask in XXL turn a gaming setup into something closer to a gothic study.
A Bright Desk or a Gift
Peacocks, Mediterranean Tile or Pink Damask bring color to a bright room or a dorm desk. For someone who loves interior design, a decorative desk mat makes a thoughtful gift that gets used every day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all of these strict 1920s Art Deco patterns?
No. The collection is built around the ornamental spirit of Art Deco rather than one period. It includes Baroque damask, Art Nouveau, chinoiserie, Mediterranean tile and modern line art, all chosen to suit a vintage-inspired desk.
Which size should I choose?
For a mouse alone, the S at 11.8 x 15.7 inches is enough. For a full keyboard and mouse, the XL at 15.7 x 35.4 inches is a good start, and the XXL at 23.6 x 35.4 inches adds depth. Measure your desk first and leave a little margin.
Can I wash my mouse pad?
Yes. Spot clean with a damp cloth, or wash it, including on a gentle machine cycle with cold or lukewarm water and mild detergent. Air dry it flat, and avoid bleach, the tumble dryer and the iron.
Does it work with my mouse?
Yes. The surface is optimized for all DPI and sensitivity settings and works with both laser and optical mice.
Is the gold in the designs metallic?
No. Gold tones, such as those in Peacocks and Baroque Red Damask, are part of the high-definition print on the cloth surface, so the pad feels and tracks exactly like the other designs.
