Eight glowing nixie tubes sit on a wooden stand at the center of this Steins Gate round rug, framed by a deep navy medallion crossed with orbiting lines and tiny gold stars. Everything around them is laid out for the circle: rings of clocks, hourglasses and gears across a cream field, then a navy border that closes the piece like the edge of a clock face.
A circle reads differently on the floor than a rectangle does. It softens the corners of a boxy room, gives a reading nook or the space beside a bed a clear center, and settles in front of an armchair without fuss. Under a desk it works as a chair mat with a pattern worth looking down at.
The Design: Clockwork Persian Carpet
The concept is a Persian-style carpet rebuilt out of time itself. Where a traditional piece would scatter blossoms across the field, this one fills it with pocket watches, wall clocks, hourglasses, brass gears and crescent moons, all tied together by rust-red scrollwork and thin branching vines. Four flip phones rest in teardrop cartouches at the compass points. Fans will read them as a quiet nod to the text messages that set the whole story moving.
The palette is midnight navy, burnt orange, antique cream and brass gold. Orange from the tubes repeats in the scrollwork of the medallion ring, which keeps the eye travelling from the center out to the rim and back again.
