Kurisu stands at the center of this Steins Gate round rug, one hand on her hip and a glass test tube raised in the other. Her tan lab coat hangs open over a white shirt and a red necktie, and the whole scene is laid out for the circle: a parchment disc of atom orbits and brass gears inside a crimson border.
A circle changes how a corner of the room feels. It softens square walls, gives a desk chair a steady spot and marks out a reading nook without any awkward corners to fight with. Simple.
The Design: Persian Lab Medallion
The artwork borrows the look of an aged Persian carpet and fills it with lab-bench clutter. Behind Kurisu, thin gold atom rings cross over two cogwheels and a ring of faint lettering, with four-point stars marking the compass points. Her auburn hair is the one warm, saturated note in the middle, and it runs straight into the crimson that surrounds it.
Out in the border, cream cartouches hold a glass flask, a cup of pudding, a red necktie and a soda can, each one a small nod for people who know the series. Black rosettes carry atoms and brains between them, and a chain of tiny flasks and gears runs along the rim. The palette stays tight: deep red, soot black, parchment cream, brass gold and a splash of teal from the liquid in the glass.
