Product Description
Kaneki stands at the center of this Tokyo Ghoul round rug, white hair falling across one red eye while four crimson kagune ribbons curl out behind him like wings. The artwork is laid out for the circle, with an ornate carpet-style medallion in oxblood, soot black and bone white spreading outward from his chest. Spider lilies bloom in every ring.
A circle reads the way a medallion is meant to be read, from the middle outward. Slide it under a desk and the ring of masks frames your feet, or set it beside a bed and the room loses a few hard corners. Quiet, dark and a little dangerous.
The Design: Spider Lilies and Masks
Nothing in this piece shouts for the sake of it. The inner field is deep red filigree, with vines and spider lilies in white and scarlet crowding around Kaneki inside a pointed, arched frame. Four ghoul masks with bared teeth sit on the diagonals, and between them the artist tucked small human details: steaming coffee cups, worn leather books, pale butterflies, crescent moons, centipedes and eight-point stars. The coffee and the books are the gentle side of the story. The masks are the other side. Together they give the rug a push and pull that a plain portrait would miss.
The palette stays tight: oxblood, charcoal black, ivory and thin silver-gray linework that makes the whole thing look inlaid rather than printed. Because the outer border is nearly black, the center glows. If this dark ornamental treatment appeals, more Tokyo Ghoul rugs are waiting in the same collection.
Kaneki on the Floor
The cut is a true circle, and the surface is a soft plush low-pile that feels good under bare feet without swallowing chair casters. Underneath sits a non-slip rubber backing that grips hard floors, so the rug stays put on tile, wood and laminate. The dye-sublimation print sets the colors into the fibers, which keeps the reds deep and the white lilies crisp. When it collects dust or a coffee spill, the rug is machine washable: gentle cold cycle, then air-dry. Step up to 120 to 140 cm for a reading nook or a bedroom corner, where the masks and coffee cups become easy to read. At 160 to 180 cm it becomes a round area rug with a full medallion underfoot, ideal as the center of a seating area. The 80 cm size can also double as an accent rug in front of a bookshelf.
Two levels share the same artwork. Standart Level is solid everyday quality. Premium Level adds a thicker, plusher pile and a more durable backing, a good call for a busy spot or a chair that moves all day.
