My son is obsessed with Yu-gi-oh, and so we were both excited to find this rug - which isn't too over-the-top, but more of a subtle nod to his interests. The rug itself feels great. Very happy with the product!

In Detail
Product Description
A roaring red motorcycle tears through neon-lit Neo-Tokyo on this Akira bike mouse pad, its rider leaning into the speed while flashing signs reflect off rain-slick pavement. Laid out as an Akira bike desk mat, the streaks of light and the cool-toned futuristic skyline stretch around that vivid red centerpiece, so the whole desk seems to rush forward.
It is a natural fit for cyberpunk lovers, classic anime collectors and anyone whose setup leans on dark blues with a single loud accent. Motorcycle fans who enjoy sleek, aggressive design will get it right away too.
The legend of the Akira bike mouse pad
Few vehicles in animation are as recognizable as the red bike from Akira. In the story it belongs to Kaneda, the brash leader of a teenage biker gang racing through a rebuilt, unstable Neo-Tokyo, and it became shorthand for the whole film's attitude: youthful, rebellious and impossibly cool. The chase sequences through glowing highways set a visual standard that countless later works borrowed, from light trails to slide-stops. For many fans, this machine is the first image that comes to mind when they think of cyberpunk in anime, which is why it suits a desk where you spend hours chasing your own goals.
Sizes for every Akira bike desk mat setup
- S (11.8″ × 15.7″): a focused mouse area with the bike front and center.
- XL (15.7″ × 35.4″): long enough for keyboard and mouse, with the light trails running end to end.
- XXXXL (23.6″ × 47.2″): covers the desk almost completely for a full city view.
- M chair mat (39.4″ × 59.1″): shields hard floors under your desk chair.
Tuned for high-speed sessions
The surface of this Akira bike desk mat is micro-woven polyester cloth, offering a low-friction glide that tracks cleanly with optical and laser mice. A 3 mm natural rubber base holds the mat in place, precision stitching keeps the borders tidy, and an HD print keeps the red paint and neon glow from fading.
A damp cloth clears smudges from the wet-look streets. When a full wash is due, set the machine to a gentle cold or lukewarm program with mild detergent, then let the mat lie flat until it is air dry. Never bleach it, never put it in the dryer and keep irons well clear of Neo-Tokyo. Made to order, it takes 1–3 business days in production and 2–5 business days to reach you.
Ride on through more Akira desk mats and mouse pads, check out other anime mouse pads, or extend the city vibe to your floor with Akira area rugs. An Akira bike mouse pad turns any desk into the starting line.
