My son is obsessed with Yu-gi-oh, and so we were both excited to find this rug - which isn't too over-the-top, but more of a subtle nod to his interests. The rug itself feels great. Very happy with the product!

In Detail
Product Description
This Evangelion Unit-02 mouse pad keeps things bold and minimal: the red EVA appears as a shadowed silhouette against a crimson backdrop, framed by clean Neon Genesis Evangelion typography. Spread across an Evangelion Unit-02 desk mat, the near-monochrome red palette makes a strong statement without any visual clutter.
Go for this one if you prefer graphic, poster-style design over busy scenes, or if your setup already runs on red accents. An Evangelion Unit-02 mouse pad is also a smart pick for fans who back Asuka and her machine above all others.
A minimalist Evangelion Unit-02 mouse pad
Unit-02 is the first production-model EVA, shipped in from Germany and piloted with plenty of swagger by Asuka. Its four-eyed head and bright red armor make it one of the most recognizable mecha in anime, so even a silhouette in shadow is instantly readable to fans. Reducing it to shape, shadow and lettering echoes the sleek title cards the series is known for and gives the piece a calm, almost gallery-like feel.
Choose your Evangelion Unit-02 desk mat size
- S (11.8″ × 15.7″) suits a mouse-only spot next to a laptop.
- M (11.8″ × 27.6″) runs along a tenkeyless keyboard plus mouse.
- XL or XXL (up to 23.6″ × 35.4″) handle a full-size keyboard with lots of mouse room.
- S chair mat (31.5″ × 47.2″) sits under a desk chair on hard floors.
Unit-02 materials and upkeep
The glide comes from micro-woven polyester cloth, a surface that both optical and laser mice follow accurately. Beneath it, 3 mm of natural rubber resists sliding, precision stitching runs around the perimeter to prevent fraying, and the HD print is formulated against fading so the deep red on your Evangelion Unit-02 desk mat keeps its punch.
Keep it fresh by wiping spots with a damp cloth, or give it a gentle cold or lukewarm machine wash with mild detergent before letting it air dry flat. Bleach, tumble drying and an iron pressed on the printed side will all damage it, so leave those out. Every Unit-02 mat is made to order: 1–3 business days in production, then 2–5 business days on the road.
Line up the rest of the EVA fleet in our Neon Genesis Evangelion mouse pads, compare other anime desk mats by series, or lay down Evangelion rugs for the floor.
