The Brand of Sacrifice sits in the middle of this Berserk round rug, painted in dried-blood crimson on a pale parchment disc. A black halo burns red around it, and the whole piece is laid out for the circle, so every ring repeats evenly from the center to the rim.
A circle changes how a dark design reads on the floor. Tucked under a desk it works as a chair mat with a gothic edge; beside a bed it softens square corners; in front of an armchair it gives a reading corner its own small ritual ground.
The Design: Crimson Seal, Ivory Vines
Nothing here is flat black. The art borrows the look of an old illuminated manuscript: an ivory ring of thorned vines, small red buds and gray-green leaves wraps around the central seal, and four ravens spread their wings on the diagonals as if they have just landed. Crescent moons and eight-point gold stars sit between them, and four small cartouches repeat the brand at the compass points.
The outer band flips the mood. Charcoal black carries eight eclipse circles, each rimmed with a crimson flare, plus tiny brands, crescents and a diamond-pattern edge in antique gold.
