My son is obsessed with Yu-gi-oh, and so we were both excited to find this rug - which isn't too over-the-top, but more of a subtle nod to his interests. The rug itself feels great. Very happy with the product!

In Detail
Product Description
This Rei Ayanami mouse pad places the First Child at the center of a glowing, futuristic aura, lit in shades of blue and violet that seem to pulse outward. On this Rei Ayanami desk mat, her dark plugsuit stands out against digital-looking swirls and fractal light patterns that spread across the surface, giving the scene a feel that is half dream, half machine.
If you are an Evangelion fan who prefers quiet intensity over loud action shots, this is your pick. The cool palette sits comfortably in setups built around blue or purple accents, and it makes a thoughtful gift for the friend who rewatches the series every year.
Why this Rei Ayanami mouse pad feels different
Rei has always been one of anime's most enigmatic characters: calm, reserved and hard to read, yet central to everything happening around her. The Cyber Core concept leans into that mystery. Instead of placing her in a cockpit or a battle, the art surrounds her with light and code-like patterns, a fitting visual for a series so concerned with where humanity ends and technology begins. Fans tend to connect with Rei because of that stillness, and this design keeps it front and center.
Choosing the right Rei Ayanami desk mat size
- S, 30×40 cm: a compact mouse-only pad for small desks.
- M or L, 30×70 / 30×80 cm: a slim strip for a compact keyboard plus mouse.
- XXL, 60×90 cm: deep enough for a full keyboard, your mouse and some spare room.
- Chair mat sizes: protect hard floors under a rolling chair.
Materials, care and production
Your mouse moves across a micro-woven polyester cloth surface with an even glide, and optical and laser mice both track on it without trouble. A 3 mm natural rubber base keeps the desk mat from creeping, the edges are precision-stitched against fraying, and the HD print resists fading so those blues and violets hold up.
Most marks come off with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, choose a gentle cold or lukewarm machine cycle with mild detergent and let it air dry flat; no bleach, no tumble dryer, and no iron on the printed side. Your mat is made to order, produced within 1–3 business days and shipped in 2–5 business days.
